HyenaTech is a science fiction role-playing game with humanoid animal characters. The game is inspired by old school RPGs such as Dragon Quest.
DISCLAIMER: This game depicts cartoon/fantasy violence, and has some mild language.
The Story
HyenaTech tells the story of Dr. Ken, a humanoid hyena who is a scientist at the HyenaTech Laboratory. A strange portal has opened in the lab that has unleashed a disease that turns those it infects into disgusting zombie-like creatures. It is up to Ken and his friends to find the things they need to reverse the effects of the disease before it spreads to the entire world.

For a first time making a game, Josh has done quite well!
As simple as many will see this, the game has a classic and easy approach to its gameplay. It's not overly complicated and it kept me glued to the game from start to end!
The combat scenes were great. There are 3 bosses in the game with a unique feel and appearance. I mainly loved the management of my party members and how they each have their own approach. My only complaint for this game would be how the fights start. They begin very suddenly with the warning of 'this fight is now happening' being a screen warp and a sudden white flash. Be aware of that as that flash made me jump almost every time it happened.
Ultimately, this is a project made by someone who knows what they want their career to be! You can complete this in a few hours but you'll be coming back to spend more hours on it. I guarantee that!

The game has a lot of potential and some serious work put in, but it has some fundamental flaws that make it hard to enjoy, I really recommend doing a tutorial in-game and maybe switching the control layout.
